| Double bedroom with lots of storage space with private shower facilities, linen and towels provided. Also availabile is a twin room and double room with shared bathroom facilities, use of a communal covered sun terrace with dining table, seating area, sat. TV, radio and large selection of books and board games. Information leaflets about the area and local events are available for planning your holiday. Tea & coffee making facilities are also provided, with space in the fridge for drinks and cold snacks. There is a very large private garden, we provide seating areas at the front, rear and outside terrace, with direct access to the communal swimming pool (high season only). Sunloungers and a sun umbrella are provided and plenty of shade is available under the large palm trees. Car hire is recommended to explore the area fully, but if a relaxing break is required, the nearest beach is just 5 minutes walk away with a selection of bars and restaurants, there is a beach supermarket (June to October). In high season, water sports, ice cream parlour, cocktail bar and souvenir shop/supermarket are within a 15 minute walk along the beach. There is a bus stop close to the house for the local town bus only (5 mins away), but the service is limited. The nearby railway station provides a very good service to Barcelona and other coastal towns at very inexpensive rates. The local town has a large selection of supermarkets, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. This is a typical Spanish town, there are no British bars, but takeaway food is available - pizzas, chicken, pork and rabbit cooked on the spit, with potatoes. The different beautiful beaches run parallel to the town, large expanses of sand, small coves, promenade with water sports and one nudist beach. There is a local Saturday market in Miami Playa and a local Sunday market at the nearby harbour of Hospitalet, a new walkway between the two beaches is now open. |
