This newly built stone house, 77sqm in size, is set some 500 m from the hamlet of Amnatos and about 19 km from Rethymno. The house is quietly positioned in peaceful grounds, with surrounding olive, orange and lemon groves, and large ancient oak trees, from which the house takes its name (the Greek word for oak tree being velanidia). Surrounding the house there is a well-tended flower garden, a traditional fountain, tiled paths and two verandas, one of which is partly covered and offers relaxing views of the countryside and beyond to the sea.
The traditionally furnished house, with one bedroom, is suitable for between 3 to 4 people, and is entered via a small yard with an archway. There is a spacious sitting area with a fireplace, a single bed, and dining area, (a camp bed can be added to this area for a 4th person). Beyond this through a wide stone arch there is a very well equipped kitchenette. On the same floor there is a double bedroom with TV, and a bathroom/WC with bathtub. Other facilities include a barbecue, a washing machine in the basement of the house, and air conditioning in the sitting area and in the bedroom (included in the price). There is also a covered parking area.
In the village of Amnatos one can find a mini market and a taverna, with another very good taverna in the village of Kyrianna, 3 km away. The nearest beach is a short drive of approximately 7 km distance.
