East travelling distance of the coast, beaches, Cognac (distillery tours), Saintes (roman ruins), La Rochelle (world famous seafood restaurants and shopping) Royan (beaches), Poitiers ( futuroscope), Angouleme and hundreds of quaint villages and hamlets with history and French life.
The cottage is in a group but each has its own outdoor eating areas and facilities. Perfect for meeting like minded francophiles or come with friends. The cottage retains its traditional character with exposed stone walls and oak beams, yet has all modern facilities like king sized bed, modern bathroom with bath and shower and loads of hot water; good sized kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, hob, grill, microwave, fridge freezer etc.
Facilities such as supermarkets, banks, twice weekly french market and restaurants can be found a short drive away in St Jean d'Angely. Boulangerie, post office and telephone are in the next village.
