Many points of historic interest are close, including the Tower of London, Tower Bridge & the Roman Wall. Located in 'The City' or financial district, the area is considered very safe, even for walking around late at night. Due to the proximity to the tube station (& being within Zone One and on the Circle & District Lines), you can hop on & quickly be near any major attraction in central London: Buckingham Palace, Churchill's War Rooms, Whitehall, Parliament, Big Ben, Kensington Palace.
