Where to Stay in the French Riviera

The French Riviera comprises a long stretch of land along the French coastline. This is a popular area known for its upscale tourists and resorts. There are a number of places to stay on the French Riviera but the decision regarding where to stay will most likely be one based on cost. Star ratings are used to determine luxury and cost of a hotel and are beneficial for the new visitor to weigh a hotel against their budget.

So Many Hotel Choices

Choosing a hotel room is a lot easier if one knows how much they can afford to spend. Two star hotels are ones which are comfortable and inviting but may not have all of the bells and whistles the higher star ranked hotels do. One such hotel is the Hotel Mediterranee in Antibes which has recently undergone renovations and provides a nice place for the visitor to stay.

Three star hotels are a bit more flashy yet cost less than a four star hotel would. Hotel de Paris in Cannes is a three star quality hotel and has various amenities including private swimming pool, Jacuzzi and gardens to wander through at ones leisure and take in the fragrant air. Another three star hotel in Cannes is the Hotel de France which is close to wonderful shopping areas and the world renowned beach of the French Riviera. This hotels art deco interior and visually stunning roof terrace make this one to put on the possibility list.

Last but not least is the luxurious four star hotel. The four star hotel will generally cost a good amount of money but will provide the highest level of service and amenities available. Four star hotels are the norm on the French Riviera where tourists and locals arent afraid to spend money. A four star hotel example would be the Hotel Belle Plage Brougham in Cannes. From the rooftop pool individuals are greeted with views of the Mediterranean Sea. This hotel is the type that will cater to almost any wish and if one has the money, this may be a great choice.

France Vacation Rentals

Another option to pursue when looking to spend a vacation on the French Riviera is to see what France vacation rentals are available. Frequently timeshares will be available for individuals to book for a week or two at a time. These France vacation rental options allow the individual to have a one or two bedroom condominium or studio apartment where kitchen facilities and often more than one bathroom are available. When looking into France vacation rentals it is good to see if there are any timeshares of this sort available.

There are plenty of hotel and France vacation rental options in the Riviera, you just need to do a little research before you arrive so you know which places meet your budget and wont waste time looking at ones that are out of your price range.
